あいかわらず３５度オーバーの日が続いております。
居間のクーラーの効きが悪くて辛いワンコさん。

しかしながら週末の散歩も少しだけ楽になりました。
まぁそれでもBBQ場は人もまばらです。それにつけてもトライアンフは最高だ。

そんななか同じ時期に出たウチのプジョーは最悪で、またまたエンジンの警告灯が点灯、もう3年連続ですよ。
元々はプジョーの品質が悪いのか、例のプレミアムサポートたらいうクソど素人カーサービス屋がバッテリーを逆に繋いだ後遺症か…
どちらかというと後者だろうか、前者の可能性もアリアリ。とほほ
まぁそんな予感がしたので今後の電気的な部品の故障は保証しろ！とぶっ壊した所に主張したけど逃げられました。
こんなにしょっちゅう壊れるのは、付き合いきれないので車を変えようかなぁと。
ミニが良かったというカミさんを連れて車屋に来ました。
しかしミニクラブマンは「うすら」デカイ。
BMWの2シリーズのシャーシを利用しているのでウチのプジョーと同じセグメントなれど、更にデカイというか威圧感があります。
こればっかりは実車見に行かないとわからないです。写真だとそんなにデカくなさそうですけど…レガシーくらいある？みたいな。
ボンネットがやたら高くてボリュームあるのがかなり印象悪い。これってBM由来なんかなぁ、一皮余計に被っているから？
どちらにしてもこのクラブマンというバンのラインは消滅しました。そういえば308SWの新型もカタログ落ちらしいです。
ワゴンは売れない、ミニバンかSUVか？みたいな感じなんですかねぇ。どっちもあんまり欲しく無いから辛いのう。
プジョーの時も条件に合う車が無くて参ったのが、またまた条件に合う車が見当たらない。。。

くる土曜日は30年来の旧友と赤羽で暑気払いであります。もう、今月は暑過ぎるので呑んでばっかし（笑

やっと本題であります。
キハの屋根汚しのついでにDD51も汚そうかなぁとパーツを取り付けます。

買い込んであったホース類を取り付けてみます。
左はエッチング製で40個1000円、右は銀河モデルのロストワックス3本で600円！

2両同時に整備したので、片方だけ5本のエアホース組み付けてみました。0.4mmの穴開けて刺すだけです。
ダミーカプラーと相まってスケール感はバッチリ。ですけど、走らせるとこんな細かいところは認識できないんですよ。

エアブラシのついでにひたすら汚していきます。
自分のレイアウトに合わせて、汚しも含めて、編成を整えていく、良きかな良きかな。

スケール感と、走らせて認知できる具合の落とし所はこんな所でしょうか。
DD51はちょっとやり過ぎたかな、コレ以下だとまた国鉄臭くなくなっちゃうので塩梅が難しい。

O hope you are doing well. I have to say that I have really enjoyed looking at the weathering of the DD51 which is slowly becoming my favourite locomotive. I have to say that weathering a 1/150 scale requires a lot of skill.
Car wise as someone who has owned plenty of Japanese cars and 1 German I would suggest buying a Japanese car. I got a Honda Fit from 2006 and it’s the most reliable car ever produced. Generating 2 faults (abs sensor and gearbox bearings) over 18 years. Honda has done a 4×4 estate (wagon?) 1.5 VTEC Fit some time ago. It’s compact but absolutely huge on the inside. I think you could pack 2 coffins in the back easily! Maybe it’s worth looking at it? I can’t recommend BMW/Mini the quality and the amount of cost reduction using plastic parts in the engine compartment is shocking. Get something used and Japanese. Bigger choice, cheaper parts, better servicing options.
Sorry to hear about Peugeot faults, they never had a good press when it comes to reliability. But I still can’t believe that someone would connect the battery the wrong way around! Especially in Japan known for perfectionist approach to everything!
